Q&A with Ferrell
What  was it that first interested you in playing softball?  I watched my big brother play
baseball  when I was really young and that made me want to play. And have wanted to
play ever since.

Why do you play softball now?  It is what I love to do and it never gets old.  There is never a
point where I'm not having a good time.  Even when I loose there is something good.
Because I am very competitive  I find the enjoyment in the trying to win.

Whats is it like to lose?   I think of things I can do better or should have done better.  That
is what I need to work on tomorrow.  So we can win the next game.

Whats it like to win?  It is like getting an A on your quarterly assessment.  It’s a great
feeling to know that you could not have done any more.  That is winning.

You have spent a lot of time playing softball, what else do you like to do?  Bowling.
Why?
You don’t have to be good to have a good time.

What are things the  you value most in your life?  Friends and family.  Getting better at
softball and improving my skills.
What elements do you bring to a team to help them win?  I give advice to my team mates
based on what I’ve been taught and consider my previous experiences with what will
make something work better.  I apply my knowledge of the game in real game situations.

You want to be a teach once you graduate from college, what grade do you want to teach
and why?
I like working with younger kids.  I know teachers don’t make a lot of money but
I would rather be happing knowing I have helped other people.

What is your favorite subject.  Math, was originally, but now I like history too.  I knowing
my past.  It is very interesting to know what people have done for our country.
