Shoot 'M Down

A deep fried turkey, a sunny fall
afternoon,  a come from behind victory
for the Cats.  Well  it just does not get
any better that this.  Unless you throw
in some friends traveling more than
4002 miles to tailgate with you.  That
makes it just about perfect.  Sunday
morning started off pretty early.  About
5am, and I cranked up the burner
which sounded like a rocket taking off.
Just before I dropped the bird in the
370 degree bubbling vat of hot oil,
young sleepy eyed Tom came out to
oversee the frying.  We put some fresh
slogans on the van and with that Tom
who had never been to an American
Football game came up with a new
battle cry… Shoot ‘M down.
That is exactly what the Panthers did
to the Cards.  The first half was one of
frustration.  The second half we loaded
the guns and blasted M’.
Our tailgate featured many of the
regulars like Kevin, Earl, Danielle,
Scott, McKenna, Andi, and Sean, but
also some old friends like Peter and
his sons, Malcolm  and Jackson.  The
UK delegation of Tom the Younger,
Will the Older, Sir Steve and Queen
got to experience Tailgating and the
spectacle of the NFL..
Real Football Fans Never have a
Bye Week

The BigCat in a quest for football in a bye week
headed to the Gateway to the West.  To the base of
the St. Louis Arch.  What is St. Louis famous for...
Beer,  good Ole American  Budwiser... or Bud Light
if you are watching your boyish figure.  Lots of it.
My boss, Chuck and Larry, one of my STL
colleagues played host to the BigCats first "I have
not dog in this fight" game.  Actually I was rooting
for the RAMs.  Im an old Rams fan when they were
in LA.  When Roman Gaberal was the QB.  We
started the festival at the Skybox a joint owned by
Marshall Falk and Nelly.  Marshall needs to get his
out from behind the bar and lace'm up for the
Rams.  Man there were bad.  Then we did a little
Blue and Gold Style tailgating.  Dan the FBI man
served up a new delicacy. Pork Steak
I think the Pork Steak base is essential to being able to drink beer all day.  And
maintain just the perfect balance of buzz factor and  refreshment.   It was really good
and Dan and the guys are our kind of folks.  A big SUV full of crap.  The unusual thing
was that when it was time to pack it up, I just stood back and watched.  Part of that is
my general slack-assedness.  The other part was nice to have the off week.  We
negotiated some lower level tickets.  The guy actually want $85 for lower level tickets
thats 10 above face.  Dude are you kidding me.  I may be wearing a jersey from the
NFC south leading Carolina Panthers, so I speak slow but I'm not stupid.  We are
talking about the RAMS.  OK 50 bucks.  I could have gotten them for less.

We went in to the game.  The fans were rocking and rolling before the kick off, then
things kinda went bad.  Then the second quarter and things went really bad.  More
beer.  And some more beer.

More on the STL trip... Later today
